Postcards from America has been digitally conceptualized and developed during the 2020 lockdown and is an ongoing mixed media project, which explores failed dreams, unrealized expectations and displacement through digital painting and collage, video and performance. Utilizing a practice of constructing a postcard as a ritual to time stamp the everyday, by repurposing and manipulating digital image bank and internet sourced archives, the project investigates the meaning of a particular cultural identity and stereotypes at the time of a global crisis.
